Childhood hunger is on the rise in the U.S. Over 80% of public school teachers report that they teach students who come to school hungry at least once a week.
Our latest featured lawmaker @SenRhondaFields is working to change that in Colorado.
Senator Fields sponsored a new law to make sure that no Colorado student who can’t afford food at school has to choose between hunger and the embarrassment of admitting it. “We want our kids to be focused on academics and not on ‘where is my next meal coming from?’” she said.
