      will be curious to see if the Dem edge in special election results endures in the presidential cycle. Back in 1981, Lee Sigelman found that the presidential party did better in special U.S. House races in prez cycles than midterm ones

      As you know from following @FutureNowUSA we're quite hesitant to read too much into a special election in Minnesota in February held on one month's notice. Still, a bitter result.

      It definitely points to continued troubles in ancestrally Democratic areas. But the PA-114 special next month will be a more traditional special election that would be a better canary in the coal mine.
