Highlights: GOP controls both the state house & state senate in 31 states but the Democrats can flip several chambers this fall. When Democrats have majorities, they can control redistricting & avoid partisan gerrymandering. They can also put policies in place that improve lives.

Examples: Medicaid expansion in VA, which the House of Delegates passed after flipping 15 seats red-to-blue in '17, coming within 1 seat of a majority. Also Washington's automatic voter registration, passed after @Dhingrama won a state senate seat that flipped the majority.
