UnREAL to me that everybody there just lets the guy stroll out. Like, “Not my problem”. I’ll say it again; this would end in about 30 seconds in a flyover state. Somebody would knock the guy’s teeth out.

You obviously don’t know what you’re talking about. Workers are being told that the only thing worse than customer theft is an employee being overzealous and caught being over aggressive with a thief in a viral video. It’s bad publicity for the company and evidence in lawsuits

SF no longer prosecutes theft under $950. As a result, Walgreens has closed something like 17 stores in SF proper.
