I thought taking a multi-year break from most social media would help but no. I don't know how I spent a decade writing about/on online culture+, don't think it's possible now to return to the media industry. My partner hated my career BTW. Hated watching what it did to me

I followed Anisa on here to show my support -- she shouldn't have to deal with the weeds Ian has sown & the fact that zoomers think it is appropriate to abuse her just shows how they have grown up & normalized the harassment of women & sex workers

it seems like the copyright claim that Adin Ross placed on Internet Anarchist through Thumb Media was manually reverted by an employee only 1 day after the claim was placed

To clarify, no false claims were made, automatic claims can't detect fair-use videos, and you used Adins clip and did not dispute it. You then tweeted on the 23rd, talking about the claim we released on the 23rd of April. Why was this left out of your video? This is… Show more

I think Hasanabi actually does a good job pushing back against the zoomer anti-sjw messaging. I know he is not what OP was talking about, but I don't know if those young indoctrinated men would listen to that "sleek" & "calm" feminist woman anyway

Yes. Another example of YouTube algorithm preferring white male ideology due to programmer bias. PewDiePie et all benefited from this, hence why even beauty community went from PoC to being dommed by white men

i think all the time how the 2015-2016 era of anti-SJWs dunking on and making like "feminism fail compilations" still affects the way feminism's seen and discussed online today and how it needs an image change

I am Fruzsina on Mastodon on the social server. Don't know how to search for people. All the sites say it is top left in the app but doesn't seem to exist in the android app. Frustrating

Tokitae will finally be free!! I get why people are comparing it to Keiko but there are major differences -- she was captured when she was 4 so already knows how to dive, here family is still alive, she's heard recordings of them, & she's being returned to her home waters

I am grateful to everyone who shared and completed my study! I will close out this survey soon, so there's still time to contribute. I am sharing a flyer for my 2nd study exploring connection for queer Black men who game. If you know someone who might be interested, plz share.
Flyer for a study on video games and Black queer men.

Flyer for gaming and mental health research study.
Hey folx, I am conducting a study examining how gaming links to the well-being of gamers of color. This study is to complete my dissertation and to graduate with my Ph.D.! If you or someone you know might be interested, please share 🙏🏾👨🏾‍🎓 #counselored #videogaming #mentalhealth

I really dug my heels in on the double X after that neo-nazi Twitter bot w/ racist imagery would automatically tweet about it being a single X (5,6+ years ago?)... But my other main reason is the double X denotes the activity as a Internet phenomenon

The most fun thing about paying for the check marks is that it ironically, devalues them. Only people who want to pay for clout, not the people who actually have it will have a check mark. People will quickly learn that they are a scam and are less than worthless.

I shouldn't have to pay $8 to verify my identity.... that should be the app/ services job. I sign up for a site with the idea that my information will be protected & my identity not stolen. Having to pay for such a service means this place is unsafe

I've been thinking about this since listening to latest episode of Code Switch. They didn't mention this in the episode, but I think it could be a way at addressing reparations/ wealth building instead of lump sums

Agreed. Also Black women. They're not represented in the Senate right now

Hot take: Kids under the age of 18 shouldn’t have their wages taxed since they aren’t allowed to vote. No taxation without representation twitter.com/MorePerfectUS/…

Same with local houses -- if they're not represented they shouldn't pay their local taxes. If you don't agree you're not a "Republican" or a " libertarian." You also can't claim to be either if you don't support LGBTQ+ rights

Given that there are currently no Black women serving in the Senate -- VP is executive -- they shouldn't have to pay taxes. Not until they are represented. No taxation without representation!
