WEALTH INEQUALITY: The richest 1% controls more wealth now than at any time in more than 50 years. But what does wealth inequality really look like?

I continue to check this tweet once and a while so I can laugh at the Bernie supporters who are losing their mind over it.pic.twitter.com/RMBAx9HQTL

I like the part where, the young lady freely admits she started off in the poor plate and CBS totally ignores upward mobility.
-
That isn't the case for everyone! The middle class are struggling, living on paycheck to paycheck, while the wealthy benefit off of trump tax cuts!

They aren't at the bottom. People spending money shopping in a mall are insulated from the absolute worst of wealth inequality - the whole point of the story is that the average person doesn't realize how walked on they actually are.
-
Sure, they can afford to go shopping once and a while, but when it's put in perspective just *how* much wealth the wealthiest people have hoarded, it becomes apparent that in the wealthiest country in the world, the average person should be doing so much better.

Haha, I didn’t realize so many people would be offended by “irony”, but this is twitter. I guess people need to proclaim “institutional racism” in their daily affirmations to keep their salty strong.pic.twitter.com/u6u8pGLuZY
