Currently, public sub counts are abbreviated in most but not all places across YouTube. In August, we’ll make this more consistent by always showing abbreviated sub counts publicly. I don't care if you round up numbers, but why remove the api for other external apps? I use them to get important data on my channel the dashboard doesn't give. There has to be a compromise to be found somewhere as I can respectfully say this is only to hurt the platform.

Wouldn't this influence stuff like socialblade and morningfame? I like using morning fame since it has my subscriber performance organized better than a lot of the stuff in the dashboard. While with social blade, I prefer seeing daily averages is all.pic.twitter.com/PRVRRg5Hju

Social blade yes, but won’t influence
@morning_fame to the point of not making it worthwhile...1 reply 0 retweets 1 like -
Ye. I still plan to use morningfame regardless since it's a vital tool in my opinion, but I'm wondering if it will influence the subscribers section of it as it does at least help to know which videos are pulling in new subscribers alongside the watchtime/views/engagement.

So I don't care if my channel is rounded up. As long as external apps can still see the data in the API I'll be content since I'm assuming that's where morningfame gets it's information and I use it to just double down on content that is pulling in a new audience.
