Don't worry, nobody's touching my kids'...you know! My kids are named Rick and Sem

I think it's knowing one of them is called Sem - an unusual name to my NZ/British ears - that made me wonder if maybe Jax was one of your kids too! But don't get me wrong, I like the name Sem, just hadn't encountered it before.

Sem is quite a popular name here. We do have some really silly Dutch names as well. A older Dutch name for girls is Trui (which fortunately isn't used much anymore) which means Sweater

In fairness you probably think it is unusual to hear of a male Ashley!

I grew up with American and British films and books, so Ashley for a guy is not strange to. And I agree, Americans do seem to like weird names sometimes. Gwenyth Paltrow named her daughter Apple...erm...okay

I'm not sure it's just americans. Just I have hard some places - like Germany - actually "approve" names for kids and sometimes won't allow the more... creative, shall we say.. names to get through. Not sure how I feel about approval, but also really shake my head at some names!
