Yes, very common! Also common in my home, New Zealand. They're best - in my opinion - after being toasted in a toaster like toast! Then you put a bit of butter on them, and whatever spread you like. I prefer savoury. Also great under a grill, with cheese! Ooh and marmite! LOL
