The use? Back then, when the pack just released, most of us didn't realise that it was almost impossible to take laundry off your lot. So the use was clear: a place to take your laundry. Now though it's at least a nice place to grab a coffee and role play a bit.

Hm? I didn't say that!
You said "What's the use?" And I explained what it was intended for. As I said, nobody knew then that you couldn't take your laundry off the lot - the pack had just come out. It's a 2 month old build!
