I played ESO when it first released and have about 4 characters. But I didn't play long as I felt an urge to go back to WoW. So many great games and so little time! But I saw the Summerset stuff incoming and I did already download the client again... I might turn up sometime!

Awesome :) I play on the NA server, but I think I might have a low level character on the EU server as well. Not that any of my characters are actually high level 😂 I never actually played WoW. It seems to be very guild-centric and I don't have the time to devote to a guild.

No it's not all! I am not in a guild and haven't been for years and still play most of the content. The only bits I don't play are by choice, not because I'm not guilded. But yeah, moving from one MMO you've invested time in to another isn't easy or appealing.

I'm not sure I will actually reactivate my ESO subscription. I'd just be looking to see what's arrived in the last few years, then losing interest and logging off. That's not really worth the money to me. Much more selective of where I spend money nowadays.

I totally get that. I'm not getting any expansions until I finish most of the main game content. I don't pay a subscription, either. Can't really afford it, which is another reason why I don't play WoW. I need a game that is friendly to the casual player, without a sub to play.

So you can play ESO without a subscription? I obviously missed the news. Well, I downloaded the client so I might set it up and see if I can still access my old characters.

Yeah, it has never been "pay to play" as far as I know. I've never paid a sub for it. There are subs that give you some perks but you can access the full game without a sub and the sub is not "pay to win", either. The game has changed quite a lot since it launched.

Yeah I think it was a subscription to start with but changed. But I could be wrong. So I will install it and go look, then! heheh That's cool, I look forward to that. I love seeing new regions especially. After that I'll probably just log off and not play again, though.

Yep it was a $15USD monthly fee until around 2015.

Ah, I must have picked it up after it went free to play, then. I didn't play for a couple of years but picked it up again in the last couple of weeks and it's been fun. They've also opened up all areas so you can travel anywhere and the region scales to your level.

Nice. WoW did something similar recently with the levels of regions. Anyhow, I'm installing it now but it's massive and it'll take a while. 😆

Fantastic :) Let me know if you want to play together for a bit. I'm usually free for a couple of hours at this time of day. Time will shift by one hour to put us 8 hours apart in a couple of weeks' time, which should make things easier.
