How did you give him human skin but alien eyes?
His parents were made in CAS and if you randomize enough, you sometimes get the non-alien skin tones instead. So he then inherited it from them.

Were the parents both aliens? Sometimes when I randomize kids of one alien and one human I get a human Sim with alien skin, but I've never seen an alien with a human skin.

Yes both were aliens made in CAS. If I remember correctly. Try for yourself; I didn't do anything special.
