@SimGuruGraham I had a look at your replies and I can't see this for certain. Is the small furry pet constrained to the habitat (or next to it) like a baby object is constrained to the crib?

He said you could take it out and play with it, but it won't run around the house like the cats and dogs can. Once you're done hanging out with it, back into the crib it goes. So sort of like babies.
Yeah I looked at the replies and couldn't see anything to say they couldn't be taken away from the habitat. I wasn't looking for as much as to "run around the house." Just would be nice to walk while holding it at least. So yeah, I just assume it's like a baby.
