I've been binge watching my way through Star Trek and I just started Voyager (after finishing TNG and DS9) and I'd forgotten how truly awesome Janeway is.pic.twitter.com/rAbXnaHlfe
She is awesome! And underrated by most Star Trek fans, unfortunately. Yet one of my favourites if not my favourite (though I did love Picard).
I think they all embodied different sides of what it meant to be a leader in Starfleet. Picard was who you wanted in times of peace. Sisko was who you wanted in times of war. Janeway was you wanted when sh*t needed to get done.
Oh yeah, don't get me wrong, I do like them all.. even Archer. Just I grew up with Picard and so he and TNG a bit more dear to me. But yeah I love the long story arcs in DS9 in particular and how the character adapted and grew.
My favorite series is DS9. Most people dismiss it because the first few seasons are kind of bad. But, if you stick around for the last 4 seasons, it's some of the greatest TV writing I've ever seen.
Oh yeah. I have watched each series about 5 times at least each. Really. Even Enterprise, though it took me a long time to get into it. Discovery twice so far but I am sure it'll get up there too.
I've only watched a few episodes of Enterprise. I'll binge it after I finish Voyager. I've seen all of Discovery and I loved it.
I liked the whole pioneer aspect of Enterprise. I wish they'd made more seasons as the 4th season was one of my favourites. Loved seeing Vulcan, and also loved the whole Vulcan-Andorian stuff. Plus would have liked to have seen Shran joining the crew (as he was intended to).
