Yeah it is! My poor cat is right up against the heater, curled up tight in a ball of fluff!

There have been a lot of people having this issue around here, many with burst & frozen pipes, broken boilers, toilets and sinks unusable.

Ugh that's too bad. I hope it won't be like this every winter from now on. It's been almost snowless most winters I've lived in France.

Will the toilet 'flush' if you pour in a bucket of water? I let the water run in the basement (laundry room) sink so the pipes won't freeze / burst. I still remember the winter when there was no water in the shower for over a week because of low temperatures. It's not fun! *hugs*

Luckily the water came back about half an hour ago or so. But thanks for the suggestions!
