Wow I've really only seen a tiny fraction of the reaction to the anniversary update. Just reading up a bit now and whoa.

Im thinking, from the bits and pieces I've seen on Twitter, it hasn't all been positive? I think I might just leave it as being grateful for the update :)

I'm reading a @SimsVIP article now to catch up. It's not a nice discussion, that's for sure. But as an experienced community manager I totally get it. People get passionate.

That they do. I'm only very new to the community, so I don't want to be disrespectful at all or talk out of place. I hope the discussion soon settles :)

Sounds wise. I tend to try and just be polite and helpful and mostly keep my opinions to myself. Seems to have worked well over the years.

True. I already regret some of what I've said today, even. But just I remember what it as like when I was designing games and reading some negative feedback. It could be soul crushing. So yeah it's something I'm passionate about. But I realise it can seem like sucking up to devs.

At the risk of sounding silly, what is a devs? And yeah, I know what you mean. I had someone tell me my Sim videos were not just boring, but brain numbing, after calling me a stalker, and I debated giving up. But sometimes you just have to move past that negative stuff
