Im thinking, from the bits and pieces I've seen on Twitter, it hasn't all been positive? I think I might just leave it as being grateful for the update :)

I'm reading a @SimsVIP article now to catch up. It's not a nice discussion, that's for sure. But as an experienced community manager I totally get it. People get passionate.

Yeah. Well it's such a sensitive topic, I don't want to say much. But yeah, Twitter is such a bad medium for decent discussions and can so easily be misconstrued.

It's a passionate issue and it's not mine but the reason I offer words of support to some of the participants is because there have been issues that were mine that I needed support on too, like back in the day when straight sims could get married but gay ones could only "join"...

That's why I'm not silent because people need to know that the "concerned parties" are not the only ones concerned and I don't regret anything I've ever had to say. It needed to be said and I tried to say it in as kind a way as possible. That's all. And hopefully it gets better.

I've only seen a tiny sliver of the negative response, but that's because I chose not to step into that space. I know fans are passionate and this game has been around for 18 years so there's a lot of history and emotions when it comes to The Sims.

I look at this way. It's a game that that I love to play, every edition of The Sims has its own issues, and not one of them has been perfect. I'm grateful for what the devs are doing and know how difficult it must be for them to create this game.
