Whoa! Careful of that scorching southern sun, my dear! As much as I detest northern hemisphere air pollution, at least I don't burn in an instant like I do in low-ozone NZ.

Exactly, low ozone makes this kind of heat particularly dangerous. Gotta be honest, not looking forward to today if the weather predictions are correct. It's only 25C now at nearly http://10.am . So maybe we'll only get to early 30C's. Here's hoping anyway.pic.twitter.com/obafBooBe7

Wow. I remember it hitting 40'c once when I was still living in Christchurch. But I only remember it because it was so rare to be that hot!
