That sounds great! I have a bit of curry sauce I need to use up so I think I'l be having that with leftover chicken tonight.
Is your son a good cook? I didn't start being half decent at cooking till my late 20s! heheh

Your dinner sounds yummy too
Yes my son is a pretty good cook. He enjoys cooking most of the time, (he is 21) My daughter (17) also enjoys cooking as well so I am lucky in that aspect

Yes you are! Back at that age (21) I was pretty much limited to heating up ready made meals and cooking baked beans! hahah Nowadays I actually really like to cook. I'm not a super cook but hey, definitely more advanced than I was!

As a teen my mum used to cook lots of what I'd call comfort food... baked beans and bacon, Watties spaghetti and sausages...etc. so I didn't really have a great introduction to cooking! When I moved to the UK and lived alone it was tough at first!

I can relate to that. I have a much better relationship with food now than I did when I was younger. I enjoy finding new, healthier, comfort foods and treats and feel a lot better for it, and have become more confident cooking different dishes.

It's definitely better for me when I'm cooking for someone else as well. On my own I'm less adventurous. But for example when my elderly mum visits I love cooking for her. It really motivates me a lot more

What's your fav dish you love to cook for your Mum when she visits?

I'm really no super chef or anything. She likes me cooking pizzas - I make my own dough. But obviously we can't do that every night. Often things like fish or chicken and veges. Sometimes I do a rice dish. Ugh now I probably don't seem much more advanced from the Watties stage..

ah, you know what.. ? You make your own dough, that's pretty impressive
Sometimes the most simple of dishes taste the best, way better than Watties, so your doing pretty well.
