My cat comes up to me and says "Meaoow" in a whiny voice, like he wants something. "What do you want, darling?" I say. "Meaow!" he replies. "Meaow?" I ask. "I don't know what that is!"

Aww, well as long as you're consistent, they'll expect it and not think you're teasing them.

Ahahaha my cats are naughty anyway. One is a food thief who leaves rat heads everywhere and the other doesnt sleep on his towel like hes meant to and ends up leaveing blood stains on the expensive linen

He has a cut in his ear that wont heal up. Locals dont care much for animals here hence no vet, but there is a women on the island who has managed to get some vets to travel over in a months time so our boy will be able to be seen then.

Oh, good! Well I hope the vet comes soon! In the meantime I can only suggest making sure the wound is cleaned well and regularly and wiped with a bit of antiseptic cream, if you can.

Yeah clean it with hot water and a clean cloth first. He won't like it but it's necessary. Clean it really good. Then dab it dry with a tissue. Then put the antiseptic cream on after.
