Oh you poor dear. That's quite a collection! I have anxiety - severe in the past - but nowadays it comes and goes and I am a bit more in control of it. Is there no alternative meds that maybe don't zombify you? Glad the video wasn't as bad as others and I will try and repeat it.

This is the 5th medication they've put me on over the years and probably the best one but once they upped the dosage it was all down hill from there. I'll just have to go in and talk to her again even though I avoid the Dr like the plague anymore, even when I fell on my stairs.

Ugh. Sorry to hear that. In the end I went off medication & somehow just became better at dealing with the anxiety. Not brilliantly but enough to get by. I do hope they can find a medication for you. But I also think unfortunately it's like the stone age for mental meds.

I think what I'll be doing is just keep trying to force myself out and start using my worry stones again. I have lots of different textures from smooth to jagged depending on my needs. I know it all sounds silly to some but they really do help.

Well I don't fully understand this textures reference but I did understand a lot of what we've talked about as it's very similar to what I've had. I just think, whatever one needs to do to get by, you know. I offer you my warmest and most sincere virtual hugs, my dear.

The texture thing with worry stones was something my psycho therapist introduced me to. She would have me put them in my pocket and rub them when I get anxious. The textures are for whichever one I find more soothing at that moment.

Aha ok, I get that! Thanks for explaining.
I haven't been to anything like a psycho-therapist since a teenager. Something else I could have done with recently! But oh well.1 reply 0 retweets 1 like -

The stones and textures really do help, so do personal little pep talks. I had to get an eval prior to a life altering surgery that I had and well they decided that I had completely shut down and couldn't do it until I went through extensive therapy.

Ugh that sounds awful. You still need the surgery now, I take it?

Nope I had it. Because things of peoples nightmares happened in my life my coping with those things were eating and hiding away so I gained a lot of weight and when my body hurt too much to live with a Dr offered me help so I got a Roux En Y gastric bypass. He saved me from me.

Oh that's good! Reminds me of a good friend back in NZ who was really overweight, had a stomach staple and now is even less heavy than me! She is so much happier now.

I bet, good for her for getting that help! It's one of the best things I could have done for myself. I wasn't heavy when I was young or even in my early twenties but then my world changed and everything came flooding in. I went from being a body builder (no joke) to miserable.
