I have this as well.
I didn’t see anyone else who had it either so as horrible as it sounds I’m kinda relieved. Crin do you want my save too? I’ve cleared caches and repaired and given the dog a bath to satisfy someone sure it was just dirty.

Luckily in my case all the affected pets are from other families and can be recreated. But obviously just hoping this can be resolved so it doesn't recur.
