Though I still have a scan going right now, it has only found about 1/5 of the data and nothing I wanted. All my YouTube video stuff gone.

But I'm often thinking back of the data that I lost. Mostly source files of custom content that I made over the years etc. That was tough.
I can imagine. I had a lot of junk on the drive so I don't miss that but it means it slowed the scans - would have been better deleted.

But there was a fair amount of stuff I wanted to keep that is now apparently lost. Currently running an EaseUS deep scan but not hopeful.

Definitely. From time to time I try to clean up my working folders. Have to admit I don't do that often enough though!

I will try to be more vigilant with that but I fear slipping back into bad habits. If I can at least backup important stuff that'd be good.
