Good morning! 
I did it again! I put my coffee pod into the machine, checked the water was full, and started it. Went to feed my cat. Came back to the coffee... I forgot to put in a cup!

Yessss. Although I was lucky in that the stand one the coffee machine took the brunt of it. Phew! I've had much worse situations with my last coffee machine, back in France! Good morning

I use a filter machine and I often forget to either add water or ground coffee. But then what can you expect from someone before coffee?

That's exactly right! You need to have actually already had coffee before you can even use the coffee machine properly.
