I saw this tweet from @TheSpookySimmer. I've been playing the same legacy world since #TheSims4 released in 2014. Many generations - even though I play on a very long lifespan! I'm working now but I'll be checking out my genealogy program (yeah, I track it) & will report back!

This is something I want to start, one game file and just go from there.

I just got attached to the sims in my world. I spent time naming & styling every sim. I liked seeing sims I recognised when playing. Over the generations I like seeing what happens to other families I don't play. I occasionally add in new sims so they're not all inbred, lol!

This is what I'd like out of a game, seeing a sim a few seasons later from another family and going "oh look how they've grown!"

I definitely have that!
I use the MC Command Center mod to alter the lifespan options though, so I am on something like Ultra-ultra long lifespan. Something like 3-4 times the "Long" setting. Without that, all the time I put into styling sims was lost as they aged & died.1 reply 0 retweets 2 likes -

Jeebus I'll have to look into that one when I make this file, how many "seasons" would that work out at?

Yeah, I have mine set on 14 sim days per season (so 56 per year) just wondering how many sim years they'd live on your settings. Even on long normally they only do maybe 2 years.

I will investigate after work and get back to you! I'm curious now too.
