I have reached past 16 lvl in wow - with the consequence I now have combo. I constantly keep hearing voice "you don't have target" and when I'm just about to argue against it, I notice it's because my target died to my combo. All the looting is making my hand hurt
You're playing WoW? Which realm are you on? Which faction, race, class...etc? 
Easy way to acquire a new target is by pressing TAB.

I'm using tab it's just I always have time to try to press at least one skill before I realise target is dead because I can't believe it's dead already... I'm at Drak thul and belong to horde. Playing druid on a cow -
Ahh okay, interesting. My first ever WoW character was a female cow, but a warrior. Druids are now one of my favourite classes to play - I'm playing as mostly a Balance druid (ranged spell casting). You can turn off the voice that say you have no target, if you want.
