The Gallery update intention *seemed* good but I quickly felt the changes are mostly simple UI tweaks. No real substantial update, if you look deeply at it. Possibly the most substantial change - the default filter - seems to do more harm than good. Some UI changes nice though

I agree! I actually prefer the old gallery atm. I see no advantages anymore.

I like the new layout of the screen you see when you click on an item: bigger, shows more comments. It's easier to see the creator's name in the UI & follow them. The default filter should be reverted, though. More substantive updates with new features would help things a lot.

Yeah, I have to agree too. I've not put much on since it's been updated, but I've certainly had far fewer downloads. I love the new UI, but perhaps the usability isn't as great as it could be

Yeah. When I heard of the filter change (which I suspect is a very simple change) it seemed great till I realised the more popular builders it highlights are way more popular than me! New more intelligent filters could be added that'd make things a lot better. (Continued)

If you're a small fish then what is the regular simmer who posts sims/builds on the gallery (myself included)...

Yeah absolutely, I totally agree. The new filter at least gave people a good chance of being discovered, though often the time of day you uploaded was a major factor & I think shouldn't be. Just needs more careful thought & development time to make a better user experience.
