We had a thunderstorm last night & my cat escaped onto the neighbour's balcony. He was gone for 2 hours! I was rather worried & couldn't sleep till he finally came back, looking pleased for himself!

Aren't the kids of your cousin actually your 1st cousins once removed? I always thought they were 2nd cousins as well but my cousin swears blind that its not

Thank you Google... your first cousin once removed is the child (or parent) of your first cousin. Your second cousin once removed is the child (or parent) of your second cousin. And your first cousin twice removed is the grandchild (or grandparent) of your first cousin.

But wouldn't the parent of your 1st cousin be your aunt or uncle? Whether in-law or blood. And who is your 2nd cousin? This whole business confuses the bejeebers out of me sometimes lol but thanks for Googling for us Ash
