Maxis should do a free "sleepover" update so that when you've invited a sim to stay the night, you can assign a bed to them (like you can with a butler) and have an interaction to tell them to go to bed! 
I would love that! I often think it'd be nice to invite them over but don't have enough beds or I worry they'll get into the double beds of some of my single sims..etc. Also a long-standing beef.. if they call to invite you out, give us a new option to invite them here instead!
