So I just spent a couple of hours moving the furniture around in my apartment. Mostly the goal is to reduce the noise of my PC. Fingers crossed it works out (so far, so good.) Now I need to rest!

Thanks my friend! I have loved moving "my room" around since I was old enough to be able to push furniture, which wasn't very old, frankly! I think the PC is quieter here but I think a proper cooling system or better case would be the proper solution. Maybe if I have a job!

I agree; a computer needs a cooling system. I have a pc and I can easily placr a card box to elevate it as I am so cheap currently LOL. I need to buy one myself but as I am too busy to shop, I didn’t do it yet.

Basically in my new layout, I have put the PC inside the sofa! It has a lift-up compartment. I just figured it can make all the noise it wants in there, I won't hear much of it. Mostly it's true but it is getting hot.
Well, this may be temporary, we'll see!

Hahahaha inside the sofa! Incubating your pc is dangerous ash. What you can do is try using cooling pads if you have those - not the water filled ones

No I have nothing. This is a temporary solution. But I am keeping my eye on it & the internal temperature (have a program which monitors that.) I did put some stuff from the freezer in the PC a few weeks ago to cool it. Forgot about them & they de-thawed & had to be chucked.

Omg! That’s a sad incident :( ... yea hopefully your pc is strong enough to endure it

Was just so glad the frozen stuff didn't burst and ruin the PC!

It probably does anyhow. Those hardy things get everywhere!
