I so understand those who want to share their excitement for such news, but I can better relate to your choice of not doing so
In Norway there is a strong culture for not thinking you are better than someone else. I can't even bring myself to post if I get a Maxis face 
I've been in game changers for a couple of packs now actually - since Jungle Adventures. That's why I did early videos for that and My First Pet, too! But I didn't do a big post about getting access as I didn't want to rub it in people's faces, as it were.
I don't judge or blame people for tweeting about it. I congratulated all that I saw. Just back then when I got in, it didn't feel right for me to post about it. Yeah this is similar to how I was brought up too: don't think yourself better & don't show off...etc.

But at the same time I know for my channel I'm not always very good at showing off stuff - the same attitude I was raised with can work against me. So I do try and post about things like Maxis Favs..etc or else I'd only have me to blame for not getting any views.
