You gotta respect Mark's stubbornness. He was one of the first $TSLAQ I butted head with a decade ago now. He has been remarkably consistent in wrongly predicting Tesla's growth and calling a demand drop-off. 10 years later now, he is still at it. It's a skill to be that wrong.

I am myself critical of FSD Beta and normally, I'd welcome someone spending money to put it through serious independent scientific testing, but that's just not it. please come to your senses, put this video down. That's if your intentions are truly good here.

The fact that the guy is willing to put his name on this video and bill himself as a safety engineer is astonishing to me. At best, this is an extremely poorly conducted test of Tesla's FSD Beta and at worst, it was a deliberately manipulated test to attack the system.

Therefore, everything points to Dan running 'tests' until they achieved the desired result: hitting the dummy. By itself, that makes it completely unscientific and useless, and on top of it, there's the question of potentially intentionally misusing FSD to achieve the result.

What is also clear is that Dan's team has confused some of the footage and released footage that wasn't of the 3 attempts that are listed in the report that resulted in impacts on the dummy at 24 mph, 27 mph, and 25 mph.

I tend to believe that it's true that in 3 attempts, the vehicle hit the dummy, but the question is under what circumstances and it's impossible to know that based on the footage that was released - like the conveniently unreadable warning message that appears in all videos.

Some of the attempts FSD Beta didn't engage, like in the footage that made the ad, in some it did, but it didn't achieve the results that Dan wanted - aka hitting the dummy.

Since has refused to respond to my questions that could clear this whole thing up, we are going to have to speculate. What I think happened is that Dan ran a lot of attempts in his FSD Beta test. This isn't stated in the report, but the driver's affidavit confirmed:
