I am deeply humbled by the support you all show me. From becoming a Humanitarian of the Year to being chosen as one of the 100 most influential African Americans of 2018 by and now being named a member of the 30 Under 30. Thank you so much!!!

I’m glad you tweeted this, sexual abuse against black boys tend to be swept under the rug. Sexual manipulation is powerful and it should not accepted within society. It’s not ok!

The trauma in the black community is so real and so pervasive. Because so many have experienced this type of exploitation, it’s normalized, but normalization does not erase the reverberations of the trauma on the mind.

  6. I hope that many conversations spawn from , as well as newfound healing and protection for women. I also hope we start talking more about boys being raped and molested as well. It’s become obvious that this is one of the most toxic parts of our society.

  7. People have even weaponized R. Kelly’s molestation as an excuse for his actions — which is utterly disgusting. Part of this is because we don’t talk about molestation and rape of boys in non-problematic ways.

  8. I wasn’t much older than him when I lost my virginity, about 13 and she was 19. My first sexual encounters started at 8 and she was in her 40s (I’ll discuss one day). For years I thought this was fine, like Wayne. Even women I dated would say “so you were just more advanced”.

  9. And because of his rape, he is now projecting those standards on another young Black man. This cycle is so deeply rooted in the community and many men and women don’t want to see it.

  10. Lil Wayne says he lost his virginity when he was raped at 11. Baby and them made a woman have sex with him in front of everyone. But he was happy they did it, because he enjoyed it. A child can’t know what they sexually enjoy. Sadly this is so normalized.

Retweet, so this won't happen again! This is the note the school sent home in my son's backpack. I will not cut his hair. He does not want it cut, so why should I cut it? How does his hair affect his ability to learn?

  20. Please everyone read this. The umitigated gall the sheer nerve of Gavin Mcinnes. The man who started the hate group the "Proud Boys" really wrote a letter to his neighbors asking them to stop bullying him for being racist because he's actually a good guy.

  21. OF COURSE Gavin Mcinnes moved to Larchmont. Westchester is really something.
