Important to note that carbon removal is not a substitute for aggressive pollution abatement efforts or an excuse to delay climate change mitigation. But embracing CO2 removal technology sooner than later makes economic sense
It will be cheaper to deploy CO2 removal strategies at the same time as emission-reduction technology rather than waiting to exhaust the latter options first, and easier to raise ambitions and political support (/thread)
