The epistemological assumptions that legitimize AI, are as dangerous as the criminally fraudulent PR bluff AI is being touted with. The utterly false promise of AI is only possible under equally false premises, that have to exposed. Having heavily privatized academy doesn't help.

I def agree with the sentiment of the article, but IMO the title is a typical example of how we should NOT portrait these issues. The problem is not ‘AI’ that ‘takes control’, it is a PEOPLE who implement algorithms that affect people’s lives.
