Fair-skinned children of Latinos and Whites are often claimed to be white. The valid existence of bisexuals is refuted by some homosexuals. Transgender activists are fighting with non-binary activists over the binary; TGs seem torn between diversity promotion & binary adherence

I think what will happen eventually is that the number of sexual and gender categories will expand all while being formalised, with people clearly assigned to non-overlapping categories. My analogy is Europe in the 20th century: more states than before, with ethnic cleansing

So back to "sex exists" and "we must preserve women spaces": "women" (as in born-with-a-vagina) spaces will continue to exist, but not officially, just like racially segregated spaces continue to exist. Activists will decry "institutional transphobia" and "transblindness"

Closed-to-those-without-a-vagina groups will deny transphobia, citing more or less objective reasons for the absence of trans women from their midst: "this is a discussion group for people with periods, not a transphobic 'female group'. We see ourselves as women, not female !"

So technology, diversity activists expanding the number of categories and purity activists preserving categories will produce a larger landscapes of sex and genders, which will have better definitions than nowadays (with permanent controversy at the fringes as in racial matters)

As to competition and bickering among categories for underdog/victimhood status, it's hard for me to think about how harsh it will be. If we're talking beyond 10-20 years from now it seems pointless. Better to observe antiracist activism, e.g. current antisemitism controversies

What looks more clear is that denying the accepted beliefs on the subject will be akin to contemporary racism. For instance, saying that there are only two sexes (or three with intersex people), or only 5 sexes with trans people, instead of 7, 9, 12, ... will be bad.

Equally bad will be to relate some sexes/genders to some (but not all) characteristics : it will be really bad to say "X and Y genders don't have the same private parts at birth" because implies something negative, just like saying X and Y ethnicities naturally smell differently

(n.b.: because it implies something negative *in the collective mind*) However certain characteristics will be celebrated. Vagina-associated genders will likely be associated with positive traits linked to born-with-vagina-people.

At the same time there will also be celebration of traits linked to biology, while mentions of that link will be forbidden. Probably not a good example but to get started, it could be coded praise of trans women' athleticism or square jaws, which would be denounced by activists
