Maybe because the ad is a lie? I am middle class and paid more taxes because trumps tax cut put a cap on mortgage interest. Those of us in the middle use that to reduce our taxes - super rich don’t care. Trumps tax cut was a disaster; Helped super rich and led to record deficits.
