TIL: The Erlang supervisor module has no publicly exposed stop function. I guess they are here to stay.

The beautiful thing about Erlang is that an obviously correct (and simple) solution often is fast enough, and thereby sufficient.

Erlang applications are supposed to run forever. If you want to stop it kill -9 should be sufficient.
