Can we all stop with the “I’m really edgy, here’s how incel is the same as unemployment/labour issues”. These dudes want women to be forced to have sex with them whenever and however they want it. Your edgy hot take is terrifying for women, who face enough sexual violence as is.

FYI for the people tweeting these things - you’re not impressing anyone with your contrarian intellectualism. But I am taking notes on who I don’t want to be left alone with.

I had to google ‘incel’ as I didn’t know what it meant..wow, sometimes I dare to think things might be getting better but obviously nope.

Believed to be behind the Toronto van attack - basically making it a terrorist attack against women

Well most people believe that. I think some are trying to push the Armenian thing in a weird racist and erasing VAW thing

I would like to point out that there is no reason for men to be "incel" in NZ. Prostitution is legal here, and anytime they want sex, they can buy it.

And even in the places where it’s not legal, it’s easy to find. But these dudes are wanting enthusiastic subservience, and I doubt they value women enough to pay for it.

Ahem. Prostitution may be legal in NZ, but hookers are still getting raped & killed. It’s not the sex on it’s own, it’s the POWER & the sex combined. Intersectional analysis, yo!

Yes, however I'd like to hear what these guys say when offered a practical solution to their celibacy. Would they admit that it's not about sex?

Weird insight to their thinking. @anarkaytie is right I think that it isn't the act itself they crave but the submission and attention. A lot of rage on those pages and no real sense of adult mature perspective. Complete lack of self-awareness. https://survivingincel.wordpress.com/category/prostitution/ …

A complete lack of self-awareness. The young women are promiscuous but the author does not apply that label to himself?

The 'women viewed as objects' is used so often it loses meaning, but things like this really brings it home that that's exactly how we're seen.

Ewww have people actually been supporting these creeps? I mean look at the sort of men who do reproduce - I mean I'm more Comic Book Guy than Channing Tatum - and then think how many magnitudes worse they must be to be incel. Nothing redeeming about them or their position.

The scary thing is that attitudes like this have been around for a long time, and have sat with the likes of serial killers. It's just amazing how the internet has allowed these men to pat each other on the back to the point where they act out.
