Special thanks to all those who are helping with the move today. May the residents of A Better Tent City find community, love, and dignity in their new temporary location. And God even blessed us with sunshine and perfect temperatures!

At a school Mass I once asked why the Church had the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. To which a grade two student replied: "Because there is room in the heart of Jesus for everybody!" We need to hear this today, more than ever! (Open Your Heart statue by )

I invite each one of you to look with confidence to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and to repeat often, especially during this month of June: Jesus, meek and humble of heart, transform our hearts and teach us to love God and our neighbor with generosity.

As I express much sorrow and pray with our Indigenous brothers and sisters for healing after the recent discovery in Kamloops, I also offer these letters by Catholic leaders in Canada. May the souls of all those who have lost their lives rest in peace, and the healing continue.

This tiny home will be going to places throughout Waterloo region raising awareness about A Better Tent City and giving people the opportunity to help give someone a home with a tap of a card! Special thanks to Mayor Berry Vrbanovic for his support and words of encouragement!

Father Joseph and myself were just at a Pipe Ceremony with our friends at Anishnabeg Outreach to pray for healing and remember all those who have lost their lives at residential schools - especially those discovered in Kamloops, BC. May all those affected experience healing.

Pride month is another opportunity to let everyone know that we are all loved, valued, and always belong as members of God's family. This is what we celebrate today as the rainbow flag was raised at WCDSB's Catholic Education Centre.

Pentecost Sunday. Differences that lead to division is not the work of the Holy Spirit. Differences that lead to unity in diversity is! May the fire of the Spirit's love burn away all that divides us. May the Spirit give us a double portion of Koinonia!

Just celebrated over Zoom Fr. Gary Hogan, CR's 35th anniversary to the priesthood - he was a former formation director of mine in St. Louis, MO. We're keeping him in prayer in a special way as he deals with health challenges and continues to witness to the joy of community life!
