I wish Trans Day of Visibility can instead be called Trans Day of Giving Trans People Money or Trans Day of Treating A Trans Person To Dinner so it can finally get through to people that it's not visibility, it's MONEY and actual genuine STABILITY that we need dammit lol.

I'm just one trans person but I doubt I'm alone in saying that we want more than just people to "see" us. We want to see people do more to ensure that trans people are getting their healthcare needs met and are treated to nice things and aren't harmed for just existing.

Because there's always someone who has to be rude, NO ONE is saying that ONE person has to fund someone's entire medical transition or that if you aren't financially stable yourself that we're shaming you for not donating. Signing a petition, sending a few dollars, etc. helps.

What we're asking is just the basics of human survival and common courtesy, really. People shouldn't be acting obtuse about this or demonize trans people for asking for the bare minimum. There's more to supporting trans people than being performative about it for just one day.

To all those who DO and ARE fighting for us, donating to our venmos and gofundmes, treating us to dinner, just doing any little thing they can to show that they care and are showing up for us not just today but all the time, you know who you are - THANK YOU!!!

Nothing to promote except to please give
@digitaltransarc some love, give them a follow. Trans history is not as lost or hidden as we might think. I truly believe it's the most important resource site on the internet: https://www.digitaltransgenderarchive.net/Show this thread
