In South Africa, the number of registered deaths due to cancers rose 29.3% in a decade to reach 43,613 in 2018. That's a faster increase than the population growth rate (13.2% over the same decade). Cancer rose from 5.6% of all deaths in 2008 to 9.6% in 2018. - StatsSA

3 years since the initial Covid19 Lockdown. Poor people are worse off now than they were then. It's madness that the R350 grant has stayed at that level for so long while the cost of living keeps going up.

According to today’s SA unemployment report for Q4 2002 the economy created 169 000 jobs in the final three months of the year. Which is encouraging given the electricity situation. However, the Western Cape created 167 000 of those jobs

It's been 3 days since ADR left Eskom and Stage 6 load shedding persists. The man broke the house of cards so badly that these twitter streets are quite from soothsayers that blamed him for load shedding.
