well...he isn't eligible for graduation, he's a few credits short...how is the school at fault here? He'll graduate in December.

I agree. I feel bad for him, and maybe they could've been nicer? But they chose to follow the rules.
-
you're right, they could've been more compassionate. I think both parties handled this situation horribly.

the class. An opportunity to show compassion was wasted. How sad. 2/2
-
why would they let him sit there when he wasn't graduating with them? He didn't have enough credits.
-
Why not? He didn't ask for a diploma or to walk. He wanted to sit with his friends. And he put the effort in. He wasn't lazy.
-
because rules are rules

this is why the world is in chaos. People are inconsiderate and they think they will die if they just sit next to cancer survivor.

As a cancer survivor, let me say that the school chose the wrong way to handle things. Try cancer sometime; it's tons of fun.
-
it had nothing 2 do w/cancer. He did not have the credits 2 graduate. If u aren't graduating that night, u wouldn't sit w/them
-
He wouldn't have been sitting w/ his friends had he not gotten cancer? I get the credit issue, do you understand cancer?
-
cancer isn't the issue here. I'm sorry but it just isn't. Rules are rules.
-
I do understand your position, but I also understand the effects of cancer as well, so it's a tough call to me.
