For years the USPS has been losing billions - yet no one in DC seems to care less about addressing. More taxpayer waste

UPSP was actually in the black (gaining money) until a republican congress forced USPS to fund employee healthcare 50 years in advance. After this law was passed USPS has been in the red (losing money) since then.

Maybe if congressional Rs didn't force the postal service to fund empoloyee healthcare 50 years in advance then the postal service would be making money instead of losing money.

And can we acknowledge the total lousy service we receive when go into a post office? Slow, rude employees and half the time our mail never gets delivered. I've had many packages make it to the PO and then they disappear due to employee theft.

Why not just remove the mandate on the USPS to fund employee healthcare 50 years ahead of time. If you assume that insurance is about 1K a year. UPSP is forced to put aside almost 100K per employee because of congressional Rs passing a law that forced prepaid health insurance.
