That would be the idea - have the tax increase with automation. If we lose 50% of jobs in 30 years due to automation, then why not have the automation cover the costs of living?

This sounds great, for anyone who never got into or researched the live real dividend stock companies. Just concept example, you PAY $200 to buy stock and then by year/month/quarter you get $10 return. It has to stack via time or you buy more stock to speed it up....

What this socialist is saying is, you spend atleast $10, but everyone gets $1000. Sounds good at 1st but there's serious bait and switch trappery getting set up because eventually everyone starts to make the same money, then it will bleed reduce until everyone is broke.

Ther 3 best moral arguments for unconditional basic income. - We work today thanks to our ancestors' work - There is no freedom without guaranteed material existence - Basic security is a must for entrepeneuralismhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NNHAgXy5dxQ …

Not at all, 99% of wealth today is thanks to our ancestors work and nowadays already work done. Let science and technology produce wealth for everybody, not just those who have jobs.
-
I completely agree. Many jobs will be disappearing over the next few decades - including white collar jobs. We need to have a strategy in place so that we don’t end up with Silicon Valley being the only place to accrue wealth in the US.

Could your interviewer have done at least a LITTLE background homework? UBI is bigger than truck drivers losing jobs FFS! All you're doing is ridiculing it. Start here!http://www.scottsantens.com/basic-income-faq …

Agreed. And it’s funny how he used “morality” as the argument against a UBI - which could eliminate starvation and homelessness in America. A UBI sounds like the moral option to me.
