The risks include that private care won't be accountable to anyone, will jack the prices through the roof because, they're private care, and that it will fragment care into a morass of conflicting reports, labs, paperwork, dxs. It won't benefit vets, only shareholders

The government is incompetent providing care because it's incompetent. Private care is incompetent because at the end of the day their focus is profits not patients

Don’t forget the wait. My Dr referred me for a colonoscopy and was mad when I did not have one 6 months later. The procedure was 2 months after my 6 month appointment. The system is broken. Many good Dr. need to fire the worthless support staff
-
Unfortunately many drs have no control over staffing. At least not if the practice is hospital owned. The hospital hired at the cheapest rate possible and you get what you pay for. Drs need to go independent and insurers should reward this, not take away contracts from indep docs

Jessie I've been using the VA since 1994, I have YET to ever recieve a questionaire of any type about my treatment. It is a damn shame when for years you've been misdiagnosed and the only reason you find out is because you go to a private doctor on your own for treatment.
