You need $300 Million/yr for homeless shelters? How many homeless are there in SF? Let’s say 10,000 for a high number. That’s $30,000/yr per person. In 5 years the government will have extracted $1.5 B from those businesses (their customers)
-
In 5 years, shelters wont have any electrical wiring, switches or light fixtures, toilets, sinks or furniture. probably in state of collapse. politicians will sell the real estate for pennies on the dollar to their most favorite financial supporters.

Hope it works, but I predict you'll just get more homeless. Maybe if houses were not so damn expensive in CA.

I go into SF on a regular basis using BART & the Civic Center Station is filled with homeless and drug addicts. Walking to the Federal Building on McAllister you need hip boots to avoid the human poop! So I guess the poop patrol will be getting a substantial raise with new tax.
