Let this be a lesson to tech journalists that no matter how close you get to a tech leader and shill for their companies, there’s no guarantee they won’t turn on you after the slightest criticism. So maybe just hold them to account like you’re supposed to.

Online whiteboarding tools for C# don't highlight typos and syntax errors, and don't include any Unity libraries (Can't use Random.Range for instance).
Do your warmups in notepad, with vanilla C# - thank me later.

I was told ~1200 RPCs independently by several engineers at Twitter, which matches # of microservices. The ex-employee is wrong. Same app in US takes ~2 secs to refresh (too long), but ~20 secs in India, due to bad batching/verbose comms. Actually useful data transferred is low.

The batching is done server-side where the initial client request doesn't matter - GraphQL resolves the request across the microservices and then sends it back. The internal graph is the same regardless of request origin

I submit that 80% of the fun & truly unique gameplay in VR games is the interactions that happen within arm’s reach of the player. If a game does nothing unique using interactions in that space, it might well be better off as a flat game.

But the thing that strikes me as really fucked up is the "against an Elon Twitter" thing. It implies a hierarchical, totalitarian power structure, where any deviation in thought from the Maximum Leader is to be sought out and excised.

However, less than 24 hours later, we had a problem -for some reason, businesses were upset about our new plan.
Apparently, they disliked that any user with $8 could parody their brand- and felt regular users wouldn't be able to appreciate the comedic elements.
