You can’t separate, for example, the extreme anti-immigration stance from the government’s unfair dominance of the press, because it’s precisely the xenophobic propaganda from the media that keeps intimidating voters into keeping them in power. 2

It’s the same with other social issues as well. Poor education and the bare minimum of social measures neatly ensures that a significant chunk of the population is uneducated and lives in poverty - which just happens to be a key demographic for Fidesz... 3
