For Macedonia, joining the EU is certainly no longer an automatic economic gold mine, but it is still probably safer to be inside it than outside.https://buff.ly/2CVyQHt

Just compare Poland and Ukraine. They were almost identocal countries in economic terms 30 years ago. It is well worth to fight for your freedom. Russia is a rogue state.

I'm confused, did I wake up in a parallel universe where Macedonia is no longer in Greece and Greece is no longer in the EU???

It would be a smart move to join NATO but if joining EU is a requirement for it, then I’m on the fence. EU economy is shattered & immigration is taking a toll on budgets and social well-being.

The EU will be a great power some day. It will break form US hegemony and arrogance and not be cowed by the US or Apartheid Israel.
